Mentoring
The aim
The aim of mentoring at the Centre is to provide our clients with additional one-to-one support and encouragement in working towards improving their 'employability'. This may involve:
- Building confidence and self-esteem
- Talking about interests and dreams
- Removing feelings of isolation and loneliness
- Goal setting and planning
- Supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants with speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Finding a course and course work
- Writing or reviewing a CV
- Maintaining motivation
- Job searching
- Computer skills
The Commitment
You are able to meet a client every week for at least one hour for up to six months. This can be at the Centre or at a public place such as a café or library.
