The Cardinal Hume Centre - Transforming lives

Mentoring

The aim
The aim of mentoring at the Centre is to provide our clients with additional one-to-one support and encouragement in working towards improving their 'employability'.  This may involve:

  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Talking about interests and dreams
  • Removing feelings of isolation and loneliness
  • Goal setting and planning
  • Supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants with speaking, listening, reading and writing
  • Finding a course and course work
  • Writing or reviewing a CV
  • Maintaining motivation
  • Job searching
  • Computer skills

The Commitment
You are able to meet a client every week for at least one hour for up to six months.  This can be at the Centre or at a public place such as a cafĂ© or library.

Below you will find the full mentor role description and the application form.

If you have any questions, please contact the Volunteering Team on 020 7222 1602 or info@cardinalhumecentre.org.uk.
