John Lewis help the Centre get creative for Christmas!

On December 20th parents and children from our family centre and English language student joined John Lewis volunteers Lisa and Nicola to make Christmas themed arts & crafts.
A great day was had by all as Lisa and Nicola demonstrated how to make beautifully decorated Christmas boxes & beaded stars. Over 40 students, parents and children joined the sessions and everyone left happily with their final creations and many got some ideas of what they themselves could make at home with one lady saying “this was good fun, I learnt something new and I have made a gift for my friend.”
The Centre’s English Language Coordinator Rachel Applegate enthused that “it was a great opportunity for the clients at the centre to do something creative, meet other people and practice their English outside the classroom.”
Thank you to Lisa and Nicola for such a wonderful day and for their creative ideas. Could your company get involved to help the Centre?
