There was a sense of happiness and shared achievement in the room as eight of the Centre’s English Language students came to celebrate passing their Entry 3 Speaking and listening exams.
The exams which took place in July were the final step in a year of hard work and dedication by the students and their teachers, all of who were volunteers. There were smiles all round as Corin Pilling the Centre’s Manager of Learning Development and Employment, handed out certificates and congratulated them on their achievement.
The success of the ESOL programme was evident from the student’s comments…
‘This course gave me a lot of confidence’ Said Maria
‘Sean is the best teacher I ever had’ said Elviro
‘I am very thankful to my teacher and to the Centre who give us this opportunity’ Said Faiza
English language is an essential service provided by the Centre it gives people the skills and confidence to look for work and integrate into the community.
