Sainsbury’s Pimlico added to the support they have given the Centre by donating £500 to the family centre’s Summer Programme and a gift of red noses.
As Sainsbury’s Pimlico’s Charity of the year the Cardinal Hume Centre has benefitted from their ongoing support over the last 10 months. A recent donation of over 100 unsold red noses were met with squeals of excitement and delight as the children used them to play tube ball run in the outdoor play area.
Last week’s generous donation of £500 towards running the Centre’s summer programme will make a huge difference to local children. The programme allows local families living in cramped flats with little money or resources, to enjoy educational and fun family activities at the Centre. Last year’s programme included African drumming classes, visits to gallery exhibitions and the zoo, dance and drama workshops. This year’s programme looks set to be fantastic with staff organising activities based a on a carnival theme.
Thanks Sainsbury’s Pimlico!
