Andrew Hannan regularly uses the services on offer at the Centre, and has decided to take on the Thames Path Challenge to raise money for the work that we do.
As he explains:
“The Cardinal Hume Centre has been, and still is, a great help to me. I am learning how to use computers at the Centre, and often come to the Jobs Club for help with finding work. I also come on a Wednesday to meet Father Paul [a visiting Benedictine monk] for a chat – it really gives me a boost.
I wanted to do something, to give back what they do for me. So I’m going to attempt the Thames Path Challenge this weekend. It is a 100k sponsored walk from Putney to Henley, completed over 24 hours, and I really want to raise some money for the Centre – to say thank you.
If you could sponsor me, I’d be very grateful.”
