For the next week the Cardinal Hume Centre is taking part in the national Be Online campaign.
#BeOnline15 is about holding events that inspire as many people as possible to discover the possibilities that open up when you’re online.
This year’s campaign has three key themes: health skills, employment skills and the skills to enjoy life online – which includes online basics and hobbies, keeping in touch, and everyday tasks and chores.
Three taster-hour workshops are being run at the Centre and are open to all:
Thursday, 26 February at 12noon: Staying Safe Online
Tuesday, 3 March at 3.30pm: Create Your Own Website
Thursday, 5 March at 12noon: How To Shop Online
Please feel free to drop in to one of the sessions, or pass the information onto someone you know who would like to find out more.
The Centre is an accredited UK Online Centre, helping people make the most of digital technology. Our IT room is available throughout the week giving access to computers and the internet, and support for those who need it.
