Emma runs a 10K in aid of the Centre

My name is Emma Sage, and I currently volunteer at the Cardinal Hume Centre as a Hostel Support Worker. On Sunday 21st June I will be taking part in the Nike Women’s Race in London, running 10K in aid of the Cardinal Hume Centre.

I’ve been volunteering at the Centre since January. I support the hostel team with administration and support meetings, and I help find places for residents to live when they are ready to move on from the hostel.

The hostel team are great, and I really like working with them. Volunteering at the Centre has given me the chance to broaden my horizons, and along the way I have got to meet so many interesting people.

I’ve chosen to raise money for the Centre because it offers help to those who need it most. There are so many services here; it’s not just the hostel. People can come here for immigration, housing and welfare advice, as well as learning support. The Centre helps so many people, and I’d like to support the work that they do.

I’m aiming to raise £250 for the Cardinal Hume Centre. If you would like to support me and the Centre, click on the Just Giving link below to make a donation.
