For many people, finding work means everything. Employment is not only the most sustainable root out of poverty and homelessness; it means independence, self respect, and the chance to look to the future with hope, rather living fearfully one day at a time.
Finding work is obviously the end goal, a lot of work has to happen with people before they become ‘job ready’. Winning trust, building confidence, developing basic skills, producing CVs, applying for jobs and improving interview technique.
The Centre doesn’t stop when someone finds a job. With the rise of in-work poverty we are committed to helping people move past entry level, minimum wage jobs and support them onto bigger and better things.
