People gained new skills

For some people who come to the Centre finding and sustaining employment is impossible due to a lack of basic skills.

Some people have had a difficult childhood, and never learned to read or write, others have sought asylum in the UK and struggle to speak English, and in today’s IT centric world,  it is almost impossible to apply for a job, if you have no idea how to use a computer to make a CV.

The Centre helps people to learn the essential life skills, so that they can find and sustain employment and integrate into the community. With English and IT classes, as well as one-to-one adult learning, we help people to achieve qualifications, equip them with language,  job search and interview skills, so that they stand a good chance of finding work, and lifting themselves and their families out of poverty.
