Spread the word

Building awareness of the Cardinal Hume Centre and its services is just as important as raising the funds we need to provide those services.

People often hear about the Centre through word of mouth so by helping to spread the word you could help someone discover us and start to turn their life around. And, of course, new supporters are always needed; simply reading a small amount the Centre is often enough to turn a kind member of the public into a donor.

E-News and Social Mediaspread-the-word

Sign up to our e-news using the form at the bottom of this page to receive emails from the Centre. These could be stories from staff and clients, recent successes, or maybe informative news about the issues affecting the Centre and its clients. Staying informed about the Centre and forwarding on anything that interests you is a great way to support us.

Similarly you can keep up to date by following us on Facebook and Twitter. Please ‘like’ anything that you like and share any posts you think your social network would want to hear about.

Another social media outlet that is really important to show your support through is LinkedIn. By following and promoting the Centre on the ‘professional social network’ you may be exposing us to potential volunteers and new corporate relationships.

Printed Materials

Twice a year we produce Centre Life, our in-house magazine that gives a insight into the people we help and the staff who work here. If you would like to receive a copy of this then please send your home address to fundraising@cardinalhumecentre.org.uk. If you would like to receive more than one copy – perhaps to share amongst friends or put in a public place – then please let us know.

We also have lots of highly informative fliers and posters that tell people about services. We are happy to send some to you if you know of a good place to put them, so that they might be seen by someone who needs our help, or maybe by people who might want to support us.

Finally, if you support the Centre in any way you should be very proud. Don’t forget to tell your friends about the incredible work that you help make happen.
