The Cardinal Hume Centre is to showcase its brand new hub and the specialist services running from there on Tuesday 23 October 2018. Potential and existing clients, referral agencies, partners and other interested organisations are invited to attend.
Guests will have the chance to tour the charity’s attractive and accessible new space – the result of a £1m revamp of its Westminster-based premises – and stop off at interactive stalls and information stands as they go along. Refreshments and children’s activities will be provided, while staff and volunteers will be on hand for anyone wanting to talk through the Centre’s work.
Mark Foster, Director of Services, said: “This interactive open day is all about bringing our smart new hub to life. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us showcase the work we’re doing here – and the tailored packages of support we can provide – to help people tackle poverty and homelessness. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible on what promises to be a fun, informative and interesting afternoon.”
The Centre’s hub offers clients seeking support a welcome, accessible, modern and flexible space, while co-located service teams are able to work more efficiently and effectively than ever before. Changes to more than 400m2 of internal and 150m2 of outdoor space include:
· an attractive and accessible entrance and reception
· improved working spaces for staff
· co-located service teams
· enhanced and extended training facilities
· extra interview rooms
· adaptable new learning space for children and parents
· private meeting spaces
· brand new outside play area
· upgraded kitchen
