Young adults supported accommodation

Our supported accommodation provides a home to young adults aged 16-24

Young adults supported accommodation

Our supported accommodation provides homeless young adults between the ages of 16-24 with a place to call home, as well as the help needed to reach their full potential and equip them to thrive in adult life.

Our Hostel provides 32 single bedrooms with shared kitchens, lounges, games rooms, IT suite, laundry, shower and bathroom facilities. Each room is fully furnished and staff are available 24 hours a day so residents feel safe and supported. There are also 5 one-bed and studio flats in Basil Hume House, a separate building on-site which is used as a step-down service in preparation for independent living.

The support given depends on each resident’s individual aspirations and needs, and can include:

• Developing independent living skills such as budgeting and cooking

• Promoting and increasing residents wellbeing and aspirations

• Access to health services

• Access to drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services

• Developing social networks, reconnecting with friends and family

• Support in education, training and employment

Our staff work in partnership with external specialist agencies and the specialist services within the Centre to provide complete holistic support. Young people can continue to use the services within the Centre once they have moved on to more appropriate long-term accommodation and independence.

Referrals into the Hostel are made via the Westminster City Council Young Adults Pathway.
