Fundraise at your school

The Cardinal Hume Centre has developed strong relationships with schools across the country and we are keen to welcome new supporters.

Many schools find that our work with pre-school clients, and our hostel for formerly homeless young people (16-25), makes the Centre a great place for students to learn about social responsibility and to practise faith in action.gumley house visit - small for web

If you would like to arrange a talk at your school, perhaps at assembly, or to come for a tour of the Centre then please email the fundraising team. Alternatively you can call us on 020 7222 1602.

There are lots of ways schools and colleges can fundraise for the Centre, and all ideas are welcome.

Why not host a Big Bed Down challenge, a virtual sleepout, where you can sleep on your sofa, bed down on a balcony, or camp in your garden? We hosted our first in March 2021 so have lots of handy tips to help you.

Just get in touch to find out more about hosting your own or register our interest in our next one. Not only is a night under the stars a unique and memorable challenge for students, it also gives them an opportunity to reflect upon what life is like for the homeless people they are helping.

Another useful resource is our Youtube channel, where there are videos that will help give context to your fundraising.

We also have several opportunities for students, particularly sixth formers, to volunteer at the Centre. To find out more about this, please do contact the volunteering team.
