Sponsor our solicitor’s super fundraising

October 6, 2021

The Cardinal Hume Centre’s Immigration Team are fundraising to help people needing legal representation by taking on the annual London Legal Walk.

Debbie, Jenny, Fella, Sarah, Louise, Sarah, Susannah and Gail will be walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers who are all raising funds for Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London. Our team is raising funds for the legal advice service at the Cardinal Hume Centre, and you can sponsor them here:

Founded in response to cuts in Legal Aid cuts in 2012, the Cardinal Hume Centre’s Immigration Team is a lifeline to young people and families living in poverty or at risk of homelessness due to their legal residency status. Migrants and asylum-seekers in London who are unable to resolve their residency status due to lack of resources or knowledge about their legal rights are vulnerable to exploitation, family break up, destitution, unjust deportation and homelessness.

Debbie Adler, Immigration Services Manager says: “It’s so important to highlight access to justice for vulnerable people. It’s great to see the legal community walking together, and showing their commitment to giving life-changing legal advice and representation.  Me and my team are one of only a handful providers who give free immigration advice and representation up to tribunal. We’re so grateful to everyone who supports our work and is walking with us on 18th October.”
